ABOUT US
While U.S. Pipe Fabrication, a division of U.S. Pipe and a Quikrete company, was formally incorporated in 2006; the formation of U.S. Pipe Fabrication started much earlier than this. U.S. Pipe established its first fabrication shop in August 1991 and within two years expanded its effective market area from three to twenty-three states.
The U.S. Pipe Fabrication brand promise is built on delivering a high-quality ductile iron fabrications as quickly as possible. To ensure fast deliveries to a growing geographic market, U.S. Pipe Fabrication expanded its footprint through the addition of numerous shops in many diverse cities, rather than expanding a single facility in a single location.
From 1994 to 2000 a series of acquisitions were made that expanded coverage to the entire United States and broadened our product line to include large steel fabrications, and a variety of specialized linings and coatings including glass and fusion bonded epoxy.
In January of 2001 U.S. Pipe Fabrication acquired Vitco® Corporation of Erie, PA. This high-profile acquisition made U.S. Pipe Fabrication the only glass-lining manufacturer for process piping in the country at the time.
Between 2005 and 2006 U.S. Pipe Fabrication acquired the ductile iron fabrication assets of Anvil International, and in 2013 acquired Fab Pipe in Rogers, MN, further enhancing our coverage area.
In 2015, U.S. Pipe Fabrication acquired the assets of Custom Fab with facilities in Orlando, Atlanta, Phoenix, Portland, Philadelphia, and San Antonio.
With 10 current locations, U.S. Pipe Fabrication is the nation’s largest ductile iron pipe fabricator and offers the broadest range of specialty linings and coatings for the water and wastewater industry.
